The Delavan Food Pantry is an ecumenical group of volunteers dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of others. Through Christ’s love and the generosity of the community, they distribute food donations in a just, friendly, and non-judgmental atmosphere without regard to race, color, or creed.
Delavan, WI – May 5th, 2023 – Advanced Auto Clinic in Delavan, along with its community partners, is thrilled to announce the tremendous success of their recent food drive and charity event. Thanks to the incredible support of customers, community members, and local businesses, the event raised over $10,000 and collected 12 giant food cans filled with non-perishable food donations for local food pantries.
From February through April, Advanced Auto Clinic ran a highly successful campaign, offering customers a $2 discount on any service for every non-perishable food item donated. Additionally, $10 from every oil change was donated to the local food pantry. The response from the community was overwhelming! The event also featured a brat hut cookout at Frank’s Brat Hut in Elkhorn, which helped raise additional funds.
“We want to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event,” said Tony from Advanced Auto Clinic. “Thanks to the generosity of our customers, community members, and our partners, we were able to surpass our goals and make a real difference in the lives of hundreds of families.”
A special mention goes out to the remarkable volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to ensure the event’s success. The event would not have been possible without the help of these numerous volunteers, including Emma Jacobson from the Apple Barn, Jammie Seuser, Rachel Persons, Ed Cox from Streblow Boats in Lake Geneva, John Sullivan, The Gary Huge family, Nate Lucas, Carter Lynn, Dakota Lynn, Parker Krablean, Logan Page, Savana & Bennet Dahlke, Ryan & Grady Bishop, Kensley, Scott Whiteacker, Noah Mandez, Paul Buckham, and the entire AAC staff.
The involvement of various local businesses was instrumental in the event’s triumph, including Four Lakes Athletic Club, Frank’s Piggly Wiggly – now Hansen’s IGA Market, Streblow Boats, Delavan Mobile Gas Station, Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Fontana Shell Gas Station, and Williams Bay Mobile Gas Station.
Ed Cox from Streblow Boats and Gary Huge deserve special recognition for their exceptionally generous donations and efforts in promoting the food drive event. Their contributions were huge in achieving the remarkable outcome.
“We are grateful to all of our partners for their incredible support,” added Tony. “Together, we were able to make a real impact on our community, and we hope to continue this tradition for years to come.”
The success of this food drive exemplifies the remarkable generosity and kindness of the Delavan community. Advanced Auto Clinic, along with its partners, is committed to continuing their efforts in giving back and making a positive impact in the years to come.
Looking ahead, Advanced Auto Clinic and its partners eagerly anticipate future opportunities to build upon the success of this food drive and inspire others to join their cause. Plans for potential future initiatives, including a golf outing, are already in the works.
In conclusion, Advanced Auto Clinic and its community partners express immense gratitude to all those involved. Their collaboration and support have created a lasting impact on the community, reaffirming the power of unity and compassion.
